October 10, 2001 - Wednesday

I need those rings.... then I wouldn't have to get up so early for school... ^^ Anyway, I just spent the last half hour trying to get my DSL working again. I don't get it. I was just doing my homework last night, using this miracle website that I adore for my chinese homework , www.zhongwen.com, when everything just stopped working... I had to unplug the DSL modem and the router this morning and play with the router settings before anything would work... and I have to do this about once a month or so... I have to play with the router settings about once a week... Anyone have any ideas why it keeps doing this to me? *sigh* Oh well... at least I know how to get it to work.... Off to school...

E, if you want help, post a fairly detailed question to Neko Mechanica. I'm sure something can be worked out. Specifically, are you using a dynamic or static IP? Cause a static IP should never force your router to reset... while a dynamic one very well could. Another issue... what version firmware is applied to the router? What brand and model router? Stuff like that. :)
