March 14, 2003 - Friday

Anyone else find it a little odd that there are only 3 of us writhing on the ground dying? I wonder where the the other two rangers are... And no, this isn't a subtle hint, or something, I have no freaking clue either, it's an honest to god question. ^^ In other news, anyone know where this huge storm we were supposed to get today went? The weather page says "partly cloudy, chance of rain", and I swear, the skay is a lovely shade of blue this morning... My dad's right, they do send the weather school rejects to California...

The rejects may end up here, but they're the ones who get to play with all the nifty, high tech weather modelling display stuff.... I was in Tahoe in December, staying with some friends and we tuned into the a local Reno TV station. I swear the presentation looked like something I'd seen in the 80's. So we may get grossly inaccurate weather reports, but at least they're presented with all the glitz and special effects that silicon valley can produce. =]

I guess it means the other two were smart enough not to teleport off. Either that, or they were too preoccupied to really care about the ranger signal. ^_^ I'll catch up with them later. Today, George and Amanda visit! If you have no idea who they are... uh.. good. I guess. They can stay here in secrecy! Bwahahah~ They're friends of mine from the old days. They're on IRC quite often, if you happen to pop by there.

March 15, 2003 - Saturday

Ugh. Worked sucked. I feel like I'm being pulled into too many different directions. But I guess it's kinda my fault that I in this craphole. I've got a good reputation there and people seem to like the work I do and the time and effort I put into my tasks. But sometimes I just feel like maybe they look at me and are saying something like, "Sucker!" It's like when you watch one of those Bugs Bunny cartoons where Bugs is outsmarting Elmer Fudd and then you see like a cross dissolve of Elmer's head into a lollipop with the word "sucker" on it. Today one of the dinning rooms was not reset, meaning that some tables weren't bussed and setup with the proper silverware settings. I ended up staying an extra hour to reset the whole thing. But it should've been done by the shift before me. I swear, some people are so lazy. Sometimes I remind myself that this is just a "job" and that it's only so that I can find a real job. But I've been taught to put heart into everything even if it's something as little as this. Maybe I'm expecting something in return that I shouldn't be expecting. I'm getting tired of room service anyway. I'm gonna try push to become a full time bartender.
