While we're on the subject ^_^ Ian Mcdonald(one of my favorite scifi authors) wrote a book titled Terminal Cafe about a future where you play while you're alive, because it's all about work in the afterlife. When you "die" you are sent to "live" in necrovilles, with others that chose to be resurrected.
The only rule is that the "dead" are not allowed to re-enter the world of the living, and the living are not allowed to enter the necrovilles after nightfall.
I like how the main character's parents don't understand why their son is working so hard on his art...when he'll plenty of time to work after death.
So yeah, their "afterlife" is pretty much what we live now...
