Well, today's comic is somewhat reflective of real life... I do need a job pretty badly now. It's kinda sad too... I have so much practical skill and knowledge not to mention a good degree from a prestigious school... I just can't seem to find a job that I can do.
I mean, come on... I've seen many job postings saying ridiculous things... things like... "10+ years Java experience required." Required? WTF? Java came out in 1995. It hasn't even been around 10 years yet!
I do appreciate all the donations people have given me but I feel bad now. I really want to earn my living... I've been trying hard to make something I can mass market, like a video game... but work is slow. I do have things in the works so hopefully they'll be out soon. I am also still trying to get my own publishing company started... I know a lot of people who have great skills. It just seems like a trap... no matter how great or talented we are, we need to already be in the business to start the business...
I keep trying to juggle the numbers and seems like a doomed business. Unless I'm already in the business and have easy access to the titles... it's practically impossible to get titles. Furthermore, once you get the titles, in order to make money, you have to sell thousands of them at the cost of dirt, otherwise you don't stay competitive and the company fails. *sigh*
Oh well, enough of my bitching. I'm not giving up! I'll figure out something... I just really wanna do something. The people in the Nekobox-gumi are are very strongly talented and skilled... if we pooled our talents, we could very easily make it work. The only problem is capital and figuring out a business plan that can work.
I guess that's the challenge in anything.
It also goes to say... we're all very strong workers... but getting a business plan that works means we'd have to work smart too. It's just hard to work "smart" nowadays unless you rip people off or use slave child labor or something. What ever happened to integrity and doing a job good? Is it all about doing it cheaper and making more money now? Does that explain the recent rash of "crap" movies that seem rushed, like the Matrix?
Wow, big rant. OK, go on with your lives. If anyone has any clues on how to make things just... work again... send me an e-mail. ^_^ Actually, better idea... send that mail to Arnold or Bush. They need a clue more than I do.

I think Young should walk down the street with a sign that says, "Will code for food." That'd be different. Yeah, he should sit there with a notebook and a sign. Shit dude. So much fuckin' talent and not a single job. Dunno what it takes anymore to get a decent job here. I don't even know if you have to know someone either or if ya have to suck someone's cock to get a fuckin' job. I'm here bustin' my ass waiting on tables. Waiting tables at the Los Altos Golf and Country Club. Man, those members there make hella money. Sometimes it's frustrating. Dunno if they have to worry about stuff. I bet they do anyway. Those kids of those members are probably lucky. I worry that I'll never be cut out to find any job that I love and will forever wait tables for the rest of my life. But then there's that saying that you gotta work hard to get where you wanna be. I don't know if that holds weight anymore. It seems like other people seem to be working in a good job without any effort. Maybe I'm not trying hard enough. Anyway, I'm going back to school next hopefully. Maybe learning something new will help and by then maybe the economy will be out of the shit hole it's in. Do you ever feel like that it seems like stupid dumb fucks get all the perks and smart people get the shit end of the stick?
A few days ago I worked a memorial. I was thinking one of the club members passed away. That happens sometimes. Old age. But then the person who passed on was 22 years old. He was a soldier stationed in Afghanistan. His helicopter crashed. 22 fuckin' years old man. Not long enough to graduate, get a job, get married and have kids. This guy has a mother, father, brother, cousins, friends, aunts, uncles, and a girlfriend. 22 fuckin' years old. He wanted to join the police academy too. It's funny, someone told me that same day that an 18 year old in the US can be sent out to kill people but they can't drink or smoke legally.
You know. I gotta hand it to people who work at coffee places. Makin' lattes capuccinos is really hard work and time consuming. Steaming that milk until it has that right foaminess takes so much practice. You go through so much milk. Even though I don't drink coffee I have to make it at work. But tryin' to do that while having 3 other tables waiting for you to wait on them is a really hard task. I can't imagine having to make lattes and capuccinos for a dozen people waiting in line. Maybe their machines work faster than ours.
I pray that my fellow unemployed friends find work soon.

Heh. Found out that the legal age to smoke is 18. That is unless they pass that bill to raise it to 21. Wow. People actually read these rants.

hey, i learned something new today! in california, it's against the law to charge for dispensed water and air. i thought i had to pay the $.50 to use that air and water machine outside the gas station to fill my tires(, washer fluid, and radiator tank). turns out, all i had to do was ask to receive a code that turned the machine on without money.
for now, the local one by my place has the code: 263 yay! gotta remember that. :3

Yes, but not quite that pedantic. If it was easy, then everyone would do it until they became competitive--driving up the difficulty or cost of operation relative to the declining results or revenue--bringing us back to where we are now. u_u This is another reason why Mr. Pessimist thinks those who consider starting a business as a *light matter* to be fooling only themselves. Long term dedication and planning is absolutely necessary... if you want it to survive. ^_~ (If it's only for amusement or a hobby, then don't mind Mr. Pessimist.)
But that was obvious. Well, on a similar matter, but not quite the same, someone linked to this article. Walmart, the sleeper (because I didn't know) evil. Worse than Micro$oft? Dunno.

Fuck it's cold!
I like people who call and have the wrong phone number. You can totally mess with their heads. Like they try to call again and ask for the same person so like on the third call I pretend like they called the bat cave or something like that.
Woke up at 6:00AM today. Tried to go to bed but I couldn't hold my piss. Man, that's the worse. Wake up so freakin' early and you gotta pee but you're all nice and snug in your blanket in bed and you don't wanna go anywhere. So I said, "Screw it." Took a leak and went out for a walk, which actually turned out to be a jog and a pagae form. Man, I'm so outta shape. I thought walking for an hour a day would be good enough but then half way through the pagae I was really exhausted. Couldn't finish the rest of the form. I've been thinking about finishing off Tae Kwon Do. I stopped when I was a red belt and that was like 6 years ago. I probably have to go back as a white belt. Meh, I'll just jog and pratice some kicks, punches and more pagaes. Who needs a freakin' belt anyway?
Time for an oil change and to pick up the latest issue of Hobby Japan. They have cute pinup girls now. Well, they're not really pinup girls cause they're not wearin bikinis but they sure are hella cute still. And they work on kits too!
