September 13, 2004 - Monday

Well, today was an interesting day. Posted is an x-ray of my foot taken from the side/front/front at the hospital today. That sliver of white is the broken head of a needle about .75 inches long embedded into the bone of my foot. Ow! Yeah, I spent the last 8 hours at two hospitals... first at an urgent care center for about 4 hours though they couldn't get it out and all doctors on call left at 6.... and the doc that was working on me knew she couldn't get it out at 6:08. So they shuffled me over to the ER for another hour... the doc ended up digging around in my foot for about two more. In the end, the final wound was about an inch long and I needed 3 stitches. Ick. Bleah, and no insurance. I'm gonna interview for a position at a job in two weeks or so and if I had gotten the job, I would have insurance... but timing sucks and I got injured before I could get any insurance. So... my bill is rather high and I still have to get prescription drugs for the pain and the anti-biotics to fight infection. =/ Life goes on I guess. All in all though, it was an amusing day... never had anything like this done before. It was quite an experience. ^_^ Of course, at this time, any donations to the "Help Young's Foot" fund would be greatly appreciated.

September 14, 2004 - Tuesday

So... what happened exactly?

Well, I was just walking around in my living room when I stepped on it. I registered pain, half tripped, heard a snapping sound and fell down. I checked the carpet, found the needle missing it's point... searched the carpet and couldn't find the missing point. So aside from the fact I couldn't move my toe, if the needle point wasn't in the carpet, it had to be in my foot. I guessed it was maybe a 1/4 inch piece or something... didn't expect the chunk to be so big O_o If it had embedded somewhere else in my foot and didn't hinder movement, I probably would have left it in there. ^^;; As soon as I realized I couldn't move my big toe, I knew I had to go to the hospital for it. I was tempted to dig around in my foot with an exacto knife but I'm kinda glad I didn't ^^;; So now the hard part is over. "Wiggle your big toe."

September 15, 2004 - Wednesday

Strangely, we had just finished vacuuming/cleaning the house when Jon moved out when I stepped on the needle. I guess the vacuum failed to pick it up and just pushed it out into the middle of the living room, where I stepped on it. After the ordeal, I got home and we vacuumed the house two more times, just in case. =} And yes, I did get to keep the needle. It's in a small plastic cup on my desk. As soon as I'm better, I'm going to Michaels and buying a small wooden slab to mount it on. =}

September 16, 2004 - Thursday

Thurs. morning. Its been raining a bit in Texas. Good times. I miss my people back in San Jose. Don't get me wrong. I don't miss "San Jose". But I will return for a few days. Most likely right before wizard world texas in late october or early novmenber. I need to clean up a few things (po box, dentist.) I hope you all have a bit of time. I'll post more when I know more. but I'll buy tickets in the next two weeks or so. Give me a call, or e-mail me telling me when you people are free. I was thinking coming in on a saturday and returning on a tuesday (need to go to the dentist so friday is out of the question.) Other than that, things are cool. Work is good. New roommate is cool. I'm finally starting to work through some past emotions and getting ahold of my life. I'm completely over my x girlfriend. And a few other people whom have seemed to leave my life. I am actually "reading" novels, excersising and relaxing. Now if I can only find the means to regain my dancing skillz. Sounds like a trip to Deep Elumm.

Aw GEEZ! http://www.cnn.com/2004/TECH/biztech/09/16/microsoft.security.ap/index.html Leave it to Micro$oft to allow something as innocuous as a JPEG image to be a critical threat beyond simply displaying an offensive image. What a nasty security vulnerability considering everyone browses images on the web, etc. The vulnerability is inherent in the XP OS, and can't be avoided by using 3rd party applications, image viewers, or mail readers. Oh well, there's a patch. I guess I should be thankful I don't need to install SP2... or should I? >_<

ZOMGs!!!! I got to dance with a girl and touch her body!!!!!Teh win!! Actually, just got back home from a birthday party. Went to this club called Barcelona in Sunnyvale. One of my co-workers was celebrating her birthday and invited me and a few other co-workers. I had two beers and was buzzed. Then I got to boggie with her and cut some tile on the dance floor. Much body rubbing then and her ass was amazing. I will never forget this night.

Wow... young is very mobile. Boy is hopping around with those stitches and stuff. But he's cool. Nobody needs to worry about him. All seems well. Young, change the damn x ray, the thing is scary and gross. I need cute and sexy or soemthing. O.k. all is good in Jon's new place. Red and black cloth all over the walls (I hope I don't stain the walls) and I have new sheets and bead spread. The texas pad has been leveled up. Waiting for Halo. Patiently I'd like to add. O.k. so R.E. apo. movie rulez. Sky captain Rulez. Wimbildon rulez. Um... um... yea. Movies are cool. Other news, cartoon network is very mean. ok. Um... lets see, I guess that's it for now.
