ARG! Lightning last night killed my computer. Boo. It won't boot. Seems to hang on the IDE detection. Gonna try some more experiments when I get home but I'm guess the motherboard is fried. Since it's a Shuttle machine, I'll have to get a new motherboard. Depending on how lazy I feel, I may just pry my old CPU out but if the price is cheap, I may just get a new CPU. I'll prolly get a copy of Windows XP and Xara while I'm at it. The last OS I bought was Windows 2000 and I got Xara at the same... at the computer's birth. *sniffle*

Still having problems with my computer! I was able to reinstall Windows 2000 on my external hard drive after I moved it to the internal IDE channel... and then it died while I was at work today. I'm thinking about buying a new hard drive and starting from scratch tomorrow. I hope it's not the power supply, CPU, or motherboard, because if any one of those go bad I'll have to replace the entire case. Wish me luck!
