February 7, 2002 - Thursday

It's the oddest thing.. at anime cons, I never seem to actually.. watch anime. I go there, I meet up with cool people.. and just talk, or goof off.. go places, eat good local food, play games, etc. But I rarely just watch anime. It seems almost like a waste of time. I fly 3700 miles to meet people I see maybe a few times a year.. why sit in a dark room where you can't see them or talk to them and all you can do is stare at a screen for a few hours.. watching something you could probably get from friends anyway? Anyway, I don't mean to ridicule those who do watch anime, in no way. I love watching it.. I saw Noir last Sunday for the first time seriously.. and it kicks ass. =} But given the choice to hang out with friends and a cutegirl, I'd rather hang out and watch anime later =}

Wai!~ The english-subbed version of the Kanon anime (first episode) just got released by E-F! =) (Okay, maybe there's a day-or-two discrepancy, but it's very publically available now, thanks to sirhc.) Horie Yui is becoming the single embodiment of all the popular female anime characters recently (Multi from To Heart, Naru from Love Hina, Sakuya from Sister Princess, Tohru from Fruits Basket, and now Ayu from Kanon (okay, looks like for the game as well)--just to name a few). *Watching anime*, huh? ¬.¬ Well, I'm gonna watch it *now*... even if it makes me late for work--but that doesn't seem to matter much. ;p ¬.¬ ...So I hear someone likes Noir... but he doesn't watch anime. Awww, too bad. ;P
