Uh, yeah, he said, "Congratulations to Young and my friend Trickster for getting her book out!" So I asked what Young did to get the congratulations for Trickster's book.

Oops, grammatical pitfall. >.< Actually, I forgot what to do in that situation. Trickster is both my friend and Young's friend; however, I think I was taught sometime that in English grammar, the last of multiple possesive nouns is the only noun that takes the possessive form/modifier. (...or was that for plural?) However, I was stuck in a bind because for the courteous usage of multiple nouns that include a form of the first-person pronoun, shouldn't the first-person pronoun be placed last? Yes, it would've made more sense if I said "my and Young's friend", but that courtesy guide insists otherwise. Blaugh! I'm not an English major, but I thought I had a decent grasp of English grammar. I guess not here. >.< Anyways, I knew it looked strange, but I didn't expect anyone to pick at it. That's okay, it was fair game. u_u What's worse is that I'm surrounded (online community) by at least 3 girls with English majors/specialities. I guess I'm gonna get skewered, huh? O.O So yes, it's Trickster's book, and despite my poor grammar--which is not representative of hers--go buy it! XD
