January 14, 2004 - Wednesday

So a few months ago, I didn't come to a complete stop at a stop sign. Of course, a cop came out of nowhere and gave me a ticket.

*sigh*

Anyway, recently, I enrolled in a county sponsored online driving school program. I did all the lessons, passed all the online tests, even aced the online final with a 100%... but it's mandatory that I take a proctored in person exam afterwards.

So, I was supposed to do that last night... problem is... I was there. So were about 40 other people who had to take the test. The exam proctor wasn't.

So we waited around for about an hour (I waited about 1.5 hours... I was the first on there. I got there at 6, the test was at 6:30)... and he never showed up. Someone smart passed around a sheet and we all put our dockett numbers and our names on it... and she took it to the administrator's office, where they faxed it to the driving school with an explaination that the proctor never showed up.

So today (later) I need to call the place and talk to them about it. I guess I could demand a refund... or ask that I not have to take a proctored exam ^_^ But in all likelyhood, they'll reschedule me for a new exam, but of course, 'kindly' void the necessity for a $25 reschedule fee. Whoopdie doo. Oh well, we'll see.

In other news, thank you to a few readers for information about freeware 3d modelling programs. Its helped me immensely and I have plans to continue my games soon. In the interim, I've been spending my time writing an online game. I haven't figured out how to make money from it yet, or even if I should... but we'll see if people like it. ^_^ I have a prototype layout done for the game interface... I've been working on design screens for data structures and I plan to begin backend code for the interface tomorrow.

So it looks like the Nekobox gumi might be parting ways somewhat soon. I might move to Texas with Nats... my brother will move to Reno for his new job... I wonder what that means for the future of Nekbbox?

I know I'll still be around... and I'll still put stuff up on the site...

Okay, this man has balls. And a sense of humor.

I might buy it. Just for the bragging rights.

[^e^] - 5:12 PM PST

Yes... I have a job offer in Reno.

Yes, you can crash if you want go skiing, but you owe me a lift ticket and ski rental then :P

I'll be starting in February, so I'll be moving up at the end of January... I have photos of the trip for my interview here, including the casino/hotel Peppermill, where I stayed, and an apartment complex I will probably be renting from.

Nekobox isn't going to die though. We're too cool to die. Fulle!

;_;

Sorry, tangent. I'll be accepting housewarming gifts and stuff : )
