November 24, 2004 - Wednesday

Foo. Recently I've been feeling quite isolated and alone. Must be because of finals and projects that I haven't had much time to spend with friends and stuff. Could be also everyone is in Texas. I think I need a girlfriend. I sure can't wait for winter break though. I think I'm gonna use my accumulated PTO in January for a week or so and just drive up and down California. I've been meaning to hit up SF for a while and just bring my sketchbook and draw like mad. My drawing has gotten better because of the visualization class. Nailing down perspective and drawing primitives really quickly. Many people over look these basic things. I've learned this semester there is no easy way to learn stuff. Just takes practice and time and effort. What you put is what you get. I look at some of the art and design out there and I find myself more critical about things. Man do I wish I went into ID right after highschool. I guess though some bad experiences can be good and show you how to embrace life more. Dang, I work on Thanksgiving. Such is the life of working in the food and beverage industry. Can't say much though because of the troops stationed in the Middle East. At least I don't have to kill people or dodge bullets. Although sometimes killing people at work sounds pretty good. I think I'm gonna try ask that one chick out at work. She's pretty cute. If there was some way I could convince her to quit smoking though.
