*sigh*

Yep, more stuffy theatre today. I'm in severe need of vacation. I have no inspiration, and work has been slowly taking it's toll on me.

Though, on a bright side, I got a promotion today =}

I read Piro's rant on Megatokyo today and began thinking a bit.

In the world of superheros, there always exists the story of conflict. In the story, there's always a Hero, a Villian, and a civilian.

The thing Piro never seemed to understand, I think, is that he's a superhero. He's a wolf among sheep. He's a wizard amonst muggles. He decides how to redefine the rules because he wants to, not because he has to. And he's willing to stand up for what he lives for.

In the superhero world, he's Superman. Superman has great powers and great responsibilities. He protects Metropolis, on his free time, but his powers demand that he defends the world. And the world is a big place. It's not a small task.

Piro has to realize that there'll always be villians, and perhaps archvillians who live to make his life hell. The wonderful thing about Superman is that he never let a villian stop him from doing what he does best. Protecting the normal civilians. Superman became a hero not because he was willing to fight every villian that came along, but because he had the heart and the strength to defend civilians, the normal everyday joe.

And his greatest strength was not his heat vision, or flying, or his ability to bend steel. His greatest strength was from his heart.. that he was always an inpiration to others. His great strength always inspired others to do their best, to be more than sheep, or muggles, or civilians. Superman made people want to be heroes.

See, Piro has an alter-identity where he has a day job and lives his life like any normal man. But when he's not working, he tears off his shirt, pulls up a pencil, and writes Megatokyo. He has his Lois Lane, beside him, to share his troubles and give him encouragement. He has his friends, Jimmy and Perry, who don't know of his super powers, but are his friends because of what a great person he is.

And yes, sometimes he'll have to fight a villian who sends email in poor taste.

So Piro, if you're reading this, nikuniku kudasai! You've been an inspiration to many many people, including me... and you shouldn't have to answer to anyone but yourself =)
