I hate being sick.
I'm having stomach problems here. I won't go into details, suffice to say that I've been restricted to plain, bland foods, and that I've discovered, unfortunately, that Immodium pills melt in your mouth, not in your hand. And to top it off, I hate being a woman.
Ladies, you know what I mean. Men, figure it out.
But things are going well. My Chinese vocabulary is increasing, my boredom level is generally the same, and I'm actually seeing some of the sights occasionally.
I was really depressed this last week, cause 6 weeks seems like such a long time to be away from friends and family, and I just couldn't shake my depression. Then I realized... I hadn't listened to any music or sang anything at all for the last 2 weeks. Me, the person who is always humming *something*, and constantly has a CD playing in the car, or the radio, or something.
Yeah, you can see why I was depressed.
So I popped in a couple CD's to lighten my mood, including my Diana Krall CD, which I can always sing to, and my mood lightened up dramatically.
So, Dr. E's advice to otaku everywhere: Get your daily dose of music, for health and happiness. ^^
Oo... I think they have the karaoke machine downstairs going...
