Wow, I was kinda bored this evening and with some random inspiration from various things, including E, April's fools, and Mac Hall... I think I finally figured out where all my bandwidth is going. A while back, Mac Hall did an april fools day joke issuing the fact that some of their top search strings to their site were Digimon and Porn. So they made their site a digimon porn site. Curious, I looked up on my server stats what the top search strings were on my site. Still curious, I tossed them into Google's image search... and the results were surprising. Here's what I discovered. Below is a list ranking the search order popularity linking the google image search followed by which page the image shows up on and what image number it is. penguin - First page #13 lulu - First page #4 tifa - First page #10 cheetah - First page #17 ffx - First page #2 swimsuit - First page #9 cow - Second page #20 (IE #40) unicorn - First page #17 felicia - First page #1 tiger - Fourth page #1 (IE #61) panda - Second page #2 (IE #22) raccoon - First page #3 naru - First page #1 ff7 - First page #18 belldandy - First page #1 dawn - First page #8 dalmation - First page #3 bees - First page #7 yuffie - First page #2 lust - First page #7 If I recall correctly, more or less, Google works by collecting the number of pages linking a certain page for ranking. So if 2 million people linked "chocolate" and pointed at "hersheys" and it out numbered everyone else, it would show up at the top of the list when you did a search for chocolate. This means every time some types any of those on the above list into google image search, it returns those images because a lot of people are linking those images with those words. For instance, a LOT of people link "Belldandy" with my Belldandy image. This being the case, that means hundreds of thosands of people go to my image sites through google without ever seeing my main page or knowing I exist as a person or that I have/had a store to sell stuff or that I'm poor or that I'm getting really high server charges or that I have a comic. Wow. Scary. And no, this isn't an Aprils fool's day joke... this is just research I found out while looking for something to do for april fool's day. So what does this all mean? Probably nothing. I just thought it'd be amusing to know. It may mean someday I'll have to juggle my stuff around or write some fancy scripts so people stop leeching since it costs me bandwidth but that's what the net is for and as long as I can afford it, I don't mind the leeching since people seem to like my artwork enough to link me ^_^

That's a pretty nifty Nekobox fact. So like at work there's a person who I feel deserves a punch in the face. One of those with a huge ego who likes to tell people what to do and is always trying to justify being right. I knew this person for a while when I started working with her and things seemed fine. Now it's just more of wanna punch her in the face. Make matters worse, her ego has been fueled more because of a position she will be taking this weekend for a huge event we will be working. She's been made captain which is a higher rank than a server and she was all glowy about it, justifying her reason that she's the best server and the one who should be the most respected with all this experience. Yeah, she has experience but it doesn't give any excuse to constantly tell people what to do and shove ideas down peoples throats. Today I was making hot coco for this one kid and she comes up to me and asks me what I was doing like I was doing something stupid. I said I was making teh hot coco and she was like that's not how you make it, that's nasty hot coco. Normally I use hot water and the Nestle TM chocolate powder served with a side of marshmallows and topped with whipped cream. But went on about using steamed milk and chocolate syrup to make it more rich and tasty while shoving me aside making me feel like I was a toddler who couldn't pour a half gallon carton of milk into a glass and kept on telling me that my hot water coco power concoction was nasty. Hell, I've been making coco this way since I was 8. Fuckin' bitch telling me how to make hot coco. But shit she kept on rambling about it and I just wanted to punch her in the face. Man, I can't wait until Saturday when that huge event hits and she works as "the captain". I hope she screws up some how so that her ego will deflate and implode like a thousand black suns. Well, most of my co-workers can't stand her anyway. I guess I'll be ok knowing that. ARGH! So feeling with the face smashies and crunchies fist! So like on another note, I've been helping out a buddy of mine, Ewen, coloring his webcomic and I feel bad cause I haven't done anything for Nekobox except for a racist filler and maybe a few drawings and Flash animations here and there. But then I realize that I really can't contribute much cause Young draws, scans and colors his stuff which makes him a one man army. On top of that he codes too. All I could really do for Young is grab a set of poms poms and cheer him on. So yeah, check out Ewen's Neko Machi now in Vectorcolor!!! Hmmmm...Young uses vectors too. I feel like I'm ripping him off.
